The Queens Bakers
When ever we are out & about in Fife, Mr B loves to pop into Fisher & Donaldson for a wee treat.Fisher & Donaldson is well known in the area for top cakes & hand made chocolates. They have a lovely shop & cafe in Cupar & have a massive counter of freshly baked cakes & pastries.
It was the cupcakes that took my fancy - mint chic with polos on top, red velvet with jelly beans & a bright orange cake boasting the slogan Phenomenal.
For those not familiar with this slogan & bright orange & blue logo this is Irn Bru, a scottish drink that is made from girders. It has it's own unique flavour that I can not even describe.
An Irn Bru cake - I just had to try it! Mr B went for a good old favourite the pastry tower - choux pastry, fresh cream & a button on the top.
Handmade Chocolates
Once we picked our treats I browsed the chocolate delights on offer
They hand make the chocolate, but they do more than just straight up bars. They make master pieces!
Shoes & handbags - Jimmy Choo-colate shoes!
Yes they are pricey & definitely a considered chocolate purchase but the detail is amazing!
Then I spied more creations - pizza & spag bol - that was the most impressive I would never have guessed it was chocolate.
The cupcake was nice btw - didn't taste much like Irn Bru though, although not sure that was a bad thing!
Did you know Fisher & Donaldson are the Queens Bakers?
Do you have a local place that is famous or makes amazing cakes / chocolates?
What would you go for as a Tuesday Treat?
