Nomination Game
My hubby received his nomination weeks ago & my brother completed his after two nominations - I helped with both & it was great fun doing the filming & the throwing water bit & was kinda expecting a nomination soon after.
But it never came! Most of my Facebook friends & family seem to have done it but I didn't make the nominations :(
Remember it's for Charity
I donated my money when Mr B did it is for MND. A friends mum was diagnosed a 11 months ago & her & her family are already suffering with the devastating effects of this disease. I have also worked with many patients who have required feeding tubes as they can no longer safely eat.

What I didn't realise was how much support comes from the charity MND Scotland!
I didn't realise that terminally ill MND patients can wait months to receive benefits - which means extra suffering & worrying about money.
I didn't realise that some Scottish councils charge for palliative care! Meaning some patients on their deathbed are worrying about how to afford care for washing, dressing & help to eat.
I didn't realise that the amazing Specialist Nurses are not funded by public money but donations to charity. I also didn't realise that there are only 7 of them in Scotland covering 400 patients, providing specialist support, care, education & counselling. I learned all this through the #IceBucketChallenge. It made me read more & has definitely raised my awareness. I love how the movement is helping not only ALS sufferers in USA but also MND charities here in the UK as well as other charities which others have chosen to support.
So with out further ado Thank You Danielle for my nomination!! I have donated again to MND Scotland cos I know the money will go to great use.
In case you didn't quite catch who I nominated (which is highly likely as my voice was a bit screechy!, ps sorry Wendy for getting you blog wrong Barbells not barrels!) I decided to follow Danielle's lead & do a bloggers edition, nominating my blogger friends from all over.
