6 months In
I started Bee Happy and Healthy in January so I am half way through my first year & truth be told I have been neglecting my little corner of the web this month. No apologies or 'I'm back' posts but instead a quick catch up of whats been happening in June.May was a bumper blogging month for me, with me managing to Blog nearly Every Day in May!
Then June happened & my momentum went out the window. Partly because I've been going through a rough patch health wise & partly because I have been busy!!
The Anniversary Month
The 1st of June reminded us that we got engaged 5 years ago! I can't believe it has been that long & yet I can!! When we got engaged we knew it would take a while to save our pennies for our dream day so we set a 2 years ahead. I remember thinking two years was a long time, & I remember our grandparents being so optimistic & saying that they might not make it!! (They all did, thankfully) It always amazes me how times can go soo fast. My ring is still as perfect & sparkly as the day Mr B picked it though.

Sipping French Martinis in the Scotsman after he popped the question |
We got married on 7th June 2011 so this year was our 3rd wedding anniversary. Leather.
Mr B was so excited because this year he had managed to organise the day & keep it all a secret!
This is the first time since we got together that he hasn't told me all the details before the big event. Honestly he tells me Xmas pressies early, he showed me the engagement ring weeks before he officially asked, he's just never been able to keep secrets.
Well this year was the year he had it all planned & I had no idea what we were doing to celebrate.
I always say I don't really like surprises but actually it was lovely. I think I will honour his efforts with a full post on what we got up to - so to be continued … but it also involved a few french martinis!

Garden Instillation
June has also been the month our garden project has been completed! We got another section of decking up the back of the garden for a table & chairs & our new outdoor sofa & table.
Which kind of jinxed the weather cos then this happened …
Dietitians Week 9th-13th June 2014
Then of course there was Dietitians Week - a world first!
I put together a stand for outpatients foyer & put out a press release, we even got our picture in the paper! Doesn't sound/look like much but I took the lead on this & I wanted it to go well so I put a lot of work into it. Very proud of our profession - dietitian is a protected title & registered dietitians are the only nutrition professionals regulated by law, and are governed by an ethical code to ensure they always work to the highest standard. #TrustaDietitian to know about nutrition.
All in all a busy wee month! & I haven't even mentioned Fathers Day & we still have a week left!
Time passes & we forget so easily all the highs & lows that's why blogging is a great wee journal for me to record & acknowledge life around me!
Also probably a good time to review my goals for this year - amazing how many post ideas you get when you eventually sit down in front of the computer & let the mind wander.
What have you been up to in June?
Had a chance to enjoy the weather?
Did you know to use the title 'Dietitian' you must have the appropriate degree & be registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council?
