And don't it feel good
I love music. All kinds of music but I do have a love for the 80s. So when I heard that a summer movie full of 80s tunes was coming out, I knew I had to go.Sure it wasn't going to be Mr B's thing I was going to the cinema on my own. I always wonder if that is actually acceptable - the movie on your lonesome.
I plucked up the courage on this saturday afternoon, sneaking in on the back row.
I feel alive, I feel the love, I feel the love that's really real
I was so glad I did the minute it started I felt light hearted. It was just full of fun! The theatre was filled with girls of all ages all there to just soak up the sunshine & enjoy the cheese.I just loved that it was unashamedly cheesy and pure karaoke! Leona Lewis hardly gets any solos instead the main vocals go to other cast members, which just adds to the charm of the movie.
Katy Brand was my favourite character - the life long friend, an erotic writer, the funny wild one. Her cleavage stole the show in some scenes!! Made my day, to see someone I could relate to doing all the things I wish I could do. I couldn't take my eyes of her when she was on screen.
I just had to tweet about that fabulous cleavage - I was still thinking bout her hours later! She even retweeted me lol
| My new claim to fame! |
My favourite scene was by the pool with all the girls acting liking goddesses. It didn't feel too choreographed it felt like something I may have done in my more confident days.
Summer Musical Rom Com
Yes the storyline was very predictable, yes there was a lot of ham acting but it was just what I needed!
I bounced out that cinema, singing Walking on Sunshine out loud. Yes out loud in the street!
Luckily my iPhone was filled with more 80s classics like So Macho & When will I be famous.
So with the stereo up loud I kept the feel good feeling going. I really was Walking on Sunshine.
The film was set in Italy & it just looked so beautiful. We have been the last two years & boy this film made me want to go back again - right now!! The cobbled streets, the chapels, the sun bleached buildings & the food. Italy, I will be back! Grazie Mille
If cheesy, sun filled, musical rom coms are your thing - you will adore this film! If you are in need of a light hearted pick me up this week I would thoroughly recommend Walking on Sunshine.
