A Song I will never forget 

This week as Valentine's Day approaches I'm getting all soppy with my Music Monday selection.  We will have been married 3 years in June and music was very important to us throughout our wedding day.

We knew we wanted a piper to welcome the guests and to pipe me down the aisle.  I did Highland Dancing for many years and love the feelings the pipes rouse in me.  We went with Highland Cathedral and it moved Mr B to tears!

We also wanted something a bit different to play during photos and the wedding breakfast.  On our RSVP slip guests were asked to pick 3 of their favourite songs to be played at the wedding.  This then made an excellent playlist.  Every so often you would hear "oh that's our song!" as we ate and chatted.  It gave us a little insight into other people's special music.

Selecting our first dance took us a long time.  We were engaged for 2 years and we needed most of that time to decide!  One day will watching a DVD this song came on and at the end after the movie we both said I really liked that song where she was sitting on the beach.  Click!  We searched the credits to find the name and artist, went online and we just knew it was for us!

We practised many times in the flat, gliding around the living room in pi's and wedding shoes lol.

Our wedding band A-Side Soul, had been given the song and on the day the version they performed was stunning!  It has left a loving, romantic and deep lasting memory for us.

So that is why I wanted to share my first dance song with you.  I hope you enjoy a bit of romance this monday!
